There is new information from the Senate and the republican majority leader Mitch McConell. In a recent interview he explains what the republicans want from a second stimulus package. They are set to meet again on May 4.

The Emergency Money For The People Act is a proposed bill for the second stimulus package:
Every American age 16 and older making less than $130,000 annually would receive at least $2,000 per month.
Married couples earning less than $260,000 would receive $4,000 per month.
In addition, families with children would get $500 per child per month for up to three children.
For example, a married couple making under $260K with 3 kids would receive $5,500 per month.
The measure would also close a loophole in the CARES Act that
Would allow college students and adults with disabilities to receive payments even if they are claimed as a dependent on someone else's taxes.
Allows individuals to get this money through direct deposit, check, pre-paid debit card, or mobile money platforms such as Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal
Those who had no earnings, were unemployed, or are currently unemployed would also be eligible.
Those who were not eligible in 2019 or 2018 but would be eligible in 2020, could submit at least two consecutive months of paychecks to verify income eligibility
Co-sponsored by 17 other representatives in the house. It is IMPORTANT to remember that this bill will only be implemented if it is approved by the house. Then it goes to the senate. If the senate passes it, then it has to be sent to the president and approved by the president.
Eligibility requirements:
These monthly cash payments would continue until the employment to population ratio for people ages 16 and older is greater than 60%.
