Pet Friendly Apple Pie

When it's on sale, I like to purchase the Marie Callender's Small Apple Pies as they are a nice size to share without committing to those big ones. Apples are a safe ingrediant for cats and dogs so why not make this dessert for our furry children. I loosely used the recipe by Renee Dobbs to try to get one mini pie made.

Pie Crust:
Mix oat flour and water to get desired consistency. Should be rollable and not stick or crumble.

Filling Dog Version:
No exact measurements, mostly eyeballing. Mix of unsweetened applesauce, diced apples, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

Filling Cat Version:
Mix of unsweetened applesauce and diced apples. Opted out of cornstartch and cinnamon. From reading online, cinnamon is not toxic but can cause digestion issues so rather would not take the risk.

After assembling the pie, cooked in oven at 350F for 25 minutes to ensure fully cooked through.
