Running Gear 360 Manager on Non Samsung Mobile Phone

One of the main barrier for people with people buying and enjoying the Samsung Gear 360 camera is that it require you to have one of the compatible flagship Samsung mobile phones (S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, Note 5).

Thanks to developer Bin4ry, he has customised and modded the Gear 360 Manger rom to allow it to be installed on any Android 5 (Lollipop and higher) mobile phone/device.

This video shows you how to install and run a Custom Gear 360 Manager rom on your Android phone.

Please note that it may not work with all mobile phones/devices as the Gear 360 Manager still definitely required quite a lot of processor and memory but thanks to Bin4ry it definitely opens up the possibility of using the Gear 360 camera on some of the newer Android devices.

This rom have been tested to work on the Sony Xperia Z5, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5x and HTC 10. Users that previously have the 2k stitching restriction on the S6 and Note 5 have also found success running the 4k stitching version of the Gear 360 Manager via this method.
