Cirque du Soleil Acrobat tests an 1890s Sports Corset

Let's test out my 1890s Sports Corset, modeled after the Ferris Good Sense Bicycle Waist! I will wear the corset for a full day of training, making sure to practice all of my normal movements and tricks, and see how the corset holds up to the activity. Will it impede and hinder certain movements? Will there be things I literally can't do at all because I'm wearing it, or will it be just like a bulky sports bra?!

This is my first time wearing a corset for an extended period of time, so that was an experience that I was quite eager to try, as I had no idea what to expect from it. Add the acrobatics on top of that, and you have a very interesting combination of.... hobbies? interests? experiences?

And just to head off any questions right here and now, no, I am not currently working for Cirque du Soleil, we have worked for them in the past, but one has to attract your attention somehow. The title is technically not inaccurate - I am an acrobat (although I prefer the term contemporary circus artist; it conjures fewer images of elephants and sawdust) and I have worked for Cirque du Soleil, so... one has to appease the SEO gods, right?!

Also, just gonna tag @JillBearup because I have heard that she quite likes the combination of corsets and circus arts ;-) Jill, if you're reading this, I adore your channel, and am a huge fan... if you ever want to choreograph an acrobatic fight scene (à la "Princess Bride), just call my name and I'll be there, ready to learn and flip!
