On July 19, the flame reached the city of Atlanta. To honor the origins of the modern Olympic Games, Atlanta native Evander Holyfield shared the torch with Greek athlete Voula Patoulidou for part of the route in the stadium during the opening ceremony. 🔥
Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield - the name stands for pure boxing history. He won the hearts of fans with his irrepressible fighting spirit and his legendary triumphs. In 1984, he took Olympic bronze in the light heavyweight division. He is also the only boxer in history to become world heavyweight champion four times (WBA, WBC and IBF titles in 1990, WBA and IBF titles in 1993 and the WBA title in 1996 and 2000). 🥊
