On a beautiful sunny afternoon, Captain Jack Payne of Sweetwater Guide Service and Capt. CT Williams head out of Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix this week on The BIGFISH. Capt. Jack says Speckled Trout fishing has been really tough this year, the water has been so dirty. There may be some fish on the inside, but they just haven't shown themselves, yet. Redfish, however are everywhere. The shrimp have moved out of the marsh, so the Reds are in the grass beds looking for something to eat. In just under an hour, a limit of 10 nice Redfish filled the box.

"Delacroix is on fire with Redfish. Bass aren't too bad, and Specks are a little scattered. There are fish out there if you want to go after them."

A quick scout for Speckled Trout produced some really big bull Reds. Hopefully, the Mississippi River subsides and the water should clear up in interior Delacroix.
