Summer of Sega Day 99 - Sonic R

This summer, I decided to Blow through my entire collection of Sega games that I've got stashed in my backlog. For one hour a day, every day, from today all the way up to Labor Day, I will be playing a new Sega game, regardless if I've already covered it on my channel or not.

Today, we take on the final console release of the Classic era, and the one true exclusive title on the Sega Saturn. Similar to Sonic Labyrinth, this game was widely touted as the worst Sonic game of all time. Granted, this game does have a cult following, and an appreciation of this title has grown since the days of ScrewAttack and DarknessTheCurse, if nothing else but for the memes. But the question is, is the game genuinely good? Or were we all right the first time around?
