I will address critical issues of manufactured dog foods with emphasis on ingredient quality, pseudoscience of many manufactured formulations, GMOs, therapeutic diets, prenatal effects/epigenetics of nutrition, and benefits of whole food and organic ingredients. The effects of domestication and selective breeding on dog health, and the basics of preventive health care from vaccination protocols to dietary supplements and massage therapy will be reviewed.
