Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy 1990 Opening Titles V2

The year is 1989. After a sloping downhill battle of low viewing figures, poor story lines, poor support from the BBC and a fatal shot to the heart time slot against Coronation Street, Doctor Who was sadly cancelled.

But what if it wasnt.......?

AS a follow up to my last video, i decided to explore more of what Doctor Who might have looked like in the year 1990. Before its cancellation in 89 plans were already afoot for a 27th Season of Doctor Who. The plans were to take the series back to a more traditional format and make the show dark, mysterious and more straight forward and serious again.
Ive followed these ideas closely and tried to keep it as "retro" looking as possible. I created the logo variation myself through photoshop and the vortex/colourful slit scan was ripped from the film 2001 A Space Odyssey while star field is taken from the TV series. The spinning shot of the TARDIS is actually from a 1990's kids program called Search Out Space, so i figured if it was from the 90's then it was the perfect shot. The opening announcement audio is taken from the 1996 TV Movie while the spinning BBC Earth Logo ident is just a random one i sourced from Youtube. Thought id pop in the old BBC logo an all to make it really feel like this came out of 1990...
