Due to the influence of cold air looping in from Vietnam and humid air over southern Yunnan, multiple areas in Pu'er, Honghe Prefecture, and Xishuangbanna experienced severe convective weather on February 25. Thunderstorms, strong winds, and hailstorms hit the region, with some areas witnessing such dense hail that the ground appeared as if it had been covered in snow.
