Driving around Iqaluit, Nunavut: Airport to Four Corners downtown

Описание к видео Driving around Iqaluit, Nunavut: Airport to Four Corners downtown

Driving from the airport in Iqaluit to the 4 corners, or the 4-way stop, downtown. I really cleaned my windshield this time, however, you can still see all the chips and cracks. 2000 Toyota Corolla did pretty well for an old car!

Nunavut means "our land" in Inuktitut, the language spoken by many Inuit in Canada. I am enjoying my time living and working on the Nunavut Land Claim among Inuit. What an honour and a privilege!

Created on April 1st 1999, Nunavut is Canada's newest territory. It was established by the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act. Located in the northeastern arctic of Canada, the territory covers an area of 2,038,722 km² with a land mass of 1,877,787 km². It is bordered by Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba to the south. to the west is the Northwest Territories.
