Jean: Do you remember the section of the map about owning your power?

Laurie: Yes I remember

Jean: it is amazing to me over the years working with clients how easy it is to give our power away. Have you become more aware of how you do that in so many different ways?

Laurie: I have seen my patterns through Higher Guidance and the journaling I’ve done of giving my power away to money for the last 20 years. Every single time I was going to shine my light and go inward and find out who I was, money would slam the door on it…..or I allowed that to happen. “Oh I can’t explore this because I have to go to work.” Every single time I would think I have to go to work to pay the bills.

Jean: So how many years went by where you were not fulfilling the purpose you came here to do? In fact you gave your power to money.

Laurie: for 20 years. Actually even before then, but 20 years ago was when I was 30, an event happened in my life and I realized I was not going to find happiness from the outside, but from within. I started exploring that and knew at that time that I was being guided to work with people in the Healing Arts in some capacity. And each time I started to explore what that could possibly mean, what would that mean for a career. Maybe I could do Kinesiology, maybe I could be a Naturopath, maybe I could do spiritual counseling. So I opened these doors to see what education I needed. And then I’d shut the door because I needed to go to work to pay bills doing what I knew how to do which was advertising and marketing. I would literally take what I was studying, close it and put it away. At that time, maybe it was fear, maybe it was that I wasn’t ready….now I’m ready. And I wouldn’t be sitting here with you, Jean, and teaching Higher Guidance Life Coach, if I hadn’t gone through what I went through.

Jean: Exactly. You can’t look back and say there’s any wasted time. It was all about experiences for you to gain and know who you truly are. And at this point, you’ll never go back.

Laurie: Yes, done with Corporate America, done with…..
Jean: When you’re here on the Treasure Map, what Higher Guidance will do is highlight for you when you’re giving your power away. We don’t see it. We don’t see it until we have this higher viewpoint pointing it out for us and saying “pay attention here. Do you see how you’re giving your power away?”

Higher Guidance will help you navigate the Map and help you understand more fully who you truly are and help you take back your power
