Pacific Electric - the L.A. Red Car System Part 2

Silent, Full Color video in three parts.
Shots were taken near the tracks, from a signal box and at a yard.
Considering the footage being made on locations that are normally not open to the public, some what appears to be show-rides, and even the cars being piled up at the breaker yard. Both the locations and the details seen in this movie, lead me to believe that the film maker must have had some knowledge and useful PE contacts.

We also see the former city-buses and yellow street trams, switching points and signals, the famous Wig-wag system, street scenes, stations, surrounding areas and lots of trains.

This is a three part video. We did not want to change the timeline as used on the original reel, nor did we hold back any material, since that may derail the thoughts of some expert viewers who might be able and willing to share their valuable knowledge. However, we did edit the film where and when needed, some very rough overlays (welds) were cut out. It did not lead to any loss of good material though. Please chime in and share your knowledge with us to better the information we are providing with this video.

The first scenes are on the Northern District at Macy St yard, and there's shots at Watts car house with 00199 (1001) and the Hollywood cars on the WATTS line. The last portion with the MTA emblems on the cars may have been taken in the last year of the Long Beach Line.

Enchanola Junction, a PE Box Motor Car, the Maintenance of Way (MOW) Tower Car - or Wire Greaser - PE 0150, PE 00137, a garage or Car House, PE 00199, shots from a signal box, shots from within a car pursuing the train, PE 411, Amoco Tower, a worker is oiling a point, PE 307, PE 731-or 34, PE locomotive 1620 w equipment, various buses, trains nearing 6th & Main Street Terminal, interior of PE 1318 with fare inspector, PE 1510, a Greyhound bus passing by, unidentified train entering an unknown station, PE cars at breaker yard being piled up, PE 9223, PE 1541, PE 1329, Los Cerritos, PE train passes oil field, PE 1541, Vernon Avenue, Amoco Tower and various PCC Cars
