These two endemics have helped shape the Philippine Ecosystem for generations upon generations of both wildlife and humans alike.

Without them, nature in the Philippine wouldn't be what we know it as today. As endemic species, one can say that they define our ecosystem and helps distinguishes our forests, and rivers from those around the world.

But, despite their massive importance to our ecosystem, why are they considered almost extinct? Why is it that their numbers continue to dwindle?
