Aurora Avenue reels from 3rd shooting in 12 days amid pimp turf wars, trafficking issues

Police responded to a shooting at North 90th Street and Aurora Avenue North in north Seattle early Friday morning.

KOMO News has reported extensively about shootings along Aurora Avenue. On Thursday, KOMO reported that a Wednesday morning shooting marked the third in 12 days on Aurora.

The latest shooting occurred at 12:51 a.m. Friday, and officers found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg near Robert Eagle Staff Middle School, according to Seattle police. Police said they applied medical treatment to the man, who was eventually taken by Seattle fire to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, with "non-life-threatening injuries."
