Thailand'a BEST province to visit in 2023-2024 is Songkhla in Southern Thailand, "best" is subjective but after living in Thailand for 14 years its my favorite province to travel to so far.

Songkhla province, located in southern Thailand, offers a delightful blend of historical landmarks, picturesque landscapes, and a vibrant local culture. Our adventure in Songkhla, where we explore Hat Yai City, the charming Old Town, ride horses on Hat Samila beach with the famous Mermaid sculpture, take a stroll through the quaint streets adorned with traditional shop houses, visit the local Thai street food markets, and indulge in authentic Thai cuisine.

As we venture further, to watch Bull fighting competition (Chon Wua) วัวชน is popular in southern Thailand, and is believed to have been introduced by Portuguese traders during the Ayutthaya period. Contests are generally staged during local festivities. Participants are carefully selected for their strength and skills. The sight of bulls locking horns never fails to enthrall spectators..

We also travel to Chana my Thai wife's home town and Muslim village where I experience the REAL Thailand country life and also got to experience Eid Day the end of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer, reflection, and community.
