Welcome to our channel! Join us on a journey through time as we explore the ancient Madan Mohan Temple, nestled approximately 40 kilometers from Mathabhanga, Cooch Behar. Believed to have been founded with the assistance of a local landlord during the reign of the Cooch Behar kings some 500-600 years ago, this temple holds deep historical significance.

Over the centuries, the Madan Mohan Temple has weathered time, standing as a testament to its rich heritage despite being abandoned and in need of conservation. Today, a local family reveres the temple, conducting daily rituals and preserving its legacy.

While the temple retains remnants of its ancient architecture and artifacts, it awaits formal recognition and preservation efforts from the government and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

As a student, I've endeavored to uncover the oral history surrounding this temple through this video project. Please note, the information presented is based on oral accounts and local narratives.
