8:15: Yes, the belly of DoProc() is basically a massive switch(). However, I think RAM speed really comes into play when you consider all the loading of objects, appearances, associative list entries, var lists, etc. that would go into the proc execution.
9:15: You wouldn't get all of the SendMaps() time back with the threading, but rather you'll effectively be dividing most of it by the # of worker threads.

This video is the first of (probably) three where I go into detail on how SS13 hosting is a lot more than it seems due to the nature of BYOND, as well as other things about it.

Dont expect the next few parts for a while though, major demotivation oof.
