Following the Nabanna Abhijan Rally scheduled for August 27 to express dissent over the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder incident, the West Bengal police have enhanced security measures around the state secretariat "Nabanna". Unfortunately, the protest turned violent as demonstrators breached barricades and clashed with police.
