On this occasion, here is one more Kishore Kumar- Asha Bhonsle duet from “Deewaar” (1975) recreated by Samir & Dipalee. This song is picturised on Shashi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist. This is a live performance from their recent concert in Mumbai.

“Deewaar” (1975) must be regarded as one of the most influential movies of its time. Unlike most Hindi movies, the music of this movie only had a marginal role to play in the success of the movie. In fact no song of this movie figured in the Binaca geetmala finals.However this song of the film is particularly heartwarming.

It does not mean that the songs of this movie were not good. The music of this movie was composed by R D Burman who was the top music director of those days and who could do no wrong in that decade.
