🚨 Heart attacks don’t look the same for women as they do for men — and too often, women’s symptoms are overlooked, misdiagnosed, or dismissed. 💔 In this video, we shine a light on the silent crisis: how women experience heart attacks differently, why their warning signs are missed, and what we can do to change that.
👩⚕️ Did you know women are more likely to have symptoms like fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea, or jaw pain rather than the “classic” crushing chest pain? Unfortunately, these subtle signs are often ignored by both women themselves and healthcare providers — leading to devastating consequences.
🌍 It’s time to raise awareness, empower women to advocate for their health, and educate everyone about these critical differences. ❤️ Together, we can save lives by breaking the stigma, sharing knowledge, and demanding better research and support for women’s heart health.

MC shares her recent participation in the presentation of the Women's Health Advocacy Group. The numbers and issues presented were truly stark for women's health. There is an urgent need for all women to contact their local, state, and federal representatives to petition for increased funding for women's health and research.
In summary, when a woman's body loses Estrogen and how it impacts the brain, heart, muscles, sleep, body weight, and more, plus $1.8 billion annual cost to the U.S. economy from lost workdays alone due to menopause symptoms. The many symptoms of perimenopause and menopause expand far beyond hot flashes, urinary incontinence, and brain fog to include the sudden increased risk of heart disease and other chronic conditions as that protective hormone is depleted. Women in the prime of their lives and careers when experiencing this transition need a better understanding of what is happening (for them and their doctors), what they can do about it (Hormone Therapy and workplace support systems), more research and innovations in this space, and overall policies that support women in the workplace, healthcare system and society as the symptoms can start in the 30s and run throughout 50s-60s. This includes forced early menopause due to cancer treatments. In addition, our speakers highlighted pending state and federal legislation in this area, as well as the lack of investment and innovation in women's health broadly and menopause specifically, which hurts our health and economy.
