How To Layer Your Samples so They Sound Dope (Sampling Tips!)

It's easy to layer multiple samples onto one another, but how do you make them sound dope together?

The best way is to simply use your ears, whether you're using an MPC or a DAW like Ableton Live. Playing with the pitch will help you get the samples somewhat in the same key, but it doesn't always work that way. Some samples just don't work with others. When all else fails, you can always add some virtual instruments on top of your main sample and work with that.
