A Cookstove Audit In Simalaha

Описание к видео A Cookstove Audit In Simalaha

Peace Parks Foundation's Community Development Manager, Kabika Kumoyo, is conducting a field audit with a team from Earthood to assess the effectiveness of a cookstove programme being rolled out in and around the Simalaha Community Conservancy.

Fuel-efficient cookstoves offer a more eco-friendly way of cooking compared to traditional wood burning. Not only do they reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80%, but they also require only a few small twigs to generate the same heat as burning large logs. As the stoves cook faster and use less fuel, another benefit is that less time is spent, typically by women and young girls, on cooking and fuel collection, meaning more time can be dedicated to domestic enterprise, family support and education.
