Welcome to the HELP online course on the rights of persons with disabilities. (available in English and Armenian here: http://help.elearning.ext.coe.int/)

Over the last decades, international standards have evolved to recognise the importance of ensuring persons with disabilities can
1. Claim their rights;
2. Make decisions for their lives based on their free and informed consent; and
3. Be active members of society.

This free online HELP courses is the first to be designed to target primarily civil society representatives, but also legal professionals, including judges and lawyers.

This is the result of a cooperation initiative between the Council of Europe, ACCESS and the Armenian Association Pyunic. It is developed in the framework of a project funded by the European Union.

This interactive course offers a comprehensive curriculum, including on key concepts of the legal framework of the Council of Europe, the United Nations, and the European Union, as well as relevant case-law.

It can be completed in one of three versions providing different levels of accessibility.

The four substantive modules of the course cover
1. Non-discrimination
2. Legal capacity
3. Accessibility
4. Social rights

After successful completion of the course, you will be able to print a statement of accomplishment from the HELP Programme.
