However, in this video, the family explains their side. They talk about how the content became oversaturated, how parts of it were scripted, and how they never felt comfortable publicly saying it was staged at the time. They also mention that many media outlets and commentators, including Philip DeFranco, did not personally speak with the kids or Mike Martin before presenting their claims.

The family expresses that a lot of information shared online came from outside perspectives, rather than directly from them. Their goal here seems to be to share their own voice and context that they feel was missing from the conversation.
