Good preaching inspires the intellect. Better preaching also touches the heart. But excellent preaching leads to transformed lives. In this Research Spotlight, we interview Dr. Rob O'Lynn about his original research into Transformational Preaching. He provides insights into how preachers and teachers can view themselves as spiritual directors who lead their audiences into intentional growth.

Kingdom Upgrowth is a place for sharing ideas that create stronger churches, better leaders, and flourishing faith. Our goal is to strengthen and encourage the Kingdom of God. We are especially interested in congregational life, leadership, and spiritual formation.

Mark Adams is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He and his wife Carolina have been married since 2004. Having worked with churches in Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee, Mark is currently the preaching minister for the Kings Crossing Church of Christ in Corpus Christi, Texas where he arrived in 2014. Mark and Carolina have ongoing involvement with short-term missions in Costa Rica, where they lead a biennial trip.
Mark believes that when people are intentionally open to God’s presence, positive change is possible if not inevitable. He created this website to share ideas related to personal growth and wellbeing, congregational life, leadership, and theology.
