The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is a beautiful machine, but what Lenovo has done here is beyond the pale privacy- and security-wise. If you have an affected machine, anyone with the private key and a little knowledge can "listen in" on your supposedly secure communications.

This video shows you how to remove not only the adware but, more importantly, the Trusted Certificate Authority Lenovo granted Superfish. As stated in the video, we are keeping an eye on things to make certain the certificate authority or adware program aren't automatically reinstalled at some point.

We're still curious as to why McAfee's pre-installed virus detection software gave Superfish a pass here. If McAfee can't or won't stop a brazen Man-in-the-Middle attack, I'm not sure of the point of their software.

While Lenovo makes beautiful machines, this breach of trust -- and their initial reaction to it -- should make them untouchable for many going forward. This is a massive attack on privacy and security, and it came from one of the industry leaders and an OEM partner to Microsoft.

We're hoping Microsoft will respond with a software update fix to remedy such situations, if this is possible. Either way, invest 5 minutes of your time, follow the simple instructions in the video and handle your security now.
