Civil Society recorded its protested in Islamabad on August 14 the day of independence, against the rallies taken out by lethal Sipah Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) in guise of banned AhleSunnatWalJamaat (ASWJ) across Pakistan.
A protest demonstration outside Islamabad press club was led by Civil Society representative Gul-e-Zehra. The protestors were holding placard and banners with outcries against the failure of the on-going National Action Plan.
The representatives of Civil Society addressed,the rallies of Banned outfits roaming freely in the streets of Pakistan,as lawlessness and a proof of the failure of government’s writ in Pakistan.
Civil Society added, either the government is frail to enforce its injunction or is in liaison with the outfits.
Despite Islamabad administration claiming that they have given no permission to the banned outfits to take out rallies in the city, the members demanded a case to be filed against them for not following the low.
