In this Part II continuation of one of Ohio’s strangest UFO cases, we revisit the chilling 1981 “Night Siege” investigated by Dennis Pilichis. A family in Rome, Ohio, claimed to be besieged by UFOs, hairy Bigfoot-like creatures, and mysterious black forms that stalked their home night after night.

Pilichis, joined by fellow investigators Willard McIntyre and James Carnes, reported seeing glowing red eyes in the woods, massive 18-inch footprints, and even a towering 12-foot-tall black-haired creature. Gunfire, strange tracks, and eerie glowing forms dominated the encounters. At one point, rocks were allegedly thrown back at the family from the woods—proof of intelligence behind the phenomena.

We also explore the skepticism raised decades later in the Small Town Monsters documentary Sasquatch Night Siege. Did Pilichis stumble onto one of the strangest paranormal cases in Ohio history—or was he the victim of a hoax set up by the very witnesses he trusted?
