Played using Thrustmaster ESWAP Pro X, IGT = In-Game Time, BKT = Best Known Time, best time I could find: 2'03"77 video by Anthony Cassimiro, 2'03"06 best time saved in their game's leaderboards.

Damn, this game is so cool that it's in Judgment, another Sega game, as an optional game you can play. The only guide I could find that was not just gameplay footage was in the description of Insert Coin's video (    • Motor Raid Arcade   ), and they talk more in terms of the arcade version instead of it emulated in Model 2 Emulator, so I'll still type out a guide here.

First, some basic controls that might not be obvious at first, especially without looking at the attract mode tutorial. You can use the turbo by quickly pressing accel twice once the bar is blue or yellow (the game also signals when the bar changes color via a sound queue).

There is also a punch and kick button, and punch uses your weapon if you have one. In Model 2 Emulator, the listed actions in the controller config for this are the opposite of what they actually are, so kick is actually punch and punch is actually kick, at least if you have XInput=1 set in CONFIG.INI and use an xinput (Xbox) controller.

If you have a weapon, you can hold the punch button and a reticle will appear. If you line it up with an unlucky AI, you will lock on to them and releasing the punch button after that throws the weapon, which will home in on them. If it Cheems bonks them, they slow down and you get their weapon afterwards (if they have on, otherwise you are left weaponless).

If you hold the punch button and don't have a weapon, that's how you charge your special attack, which the tutorial does go over, but does not convey well. This attack is much more powerful than a punch, so it's usually your best bet for getting a weapon back.

Anyways, those are the basics, and I don't want to make this description too long, so I'll go into more detail next video, and for a tip for this track, it's better to use the boost a bit after I use it so you can preserve some speed using the jump.
