RC2014: First Power-On

Описание к видео RC2014: First Power-On

In this series of videos I'll be assembling an RC2014 Pro, a Z80 based microcomputer available for purchase online. I received this as a Christmas gift from Mrs B, after giving her some significant hints as to what I'd like.

The RC2014 is a brilliant design IMHO, and will be used by me as the foundation for many of my Z80-based hardware and software experiments.

If you've been following this series, you'll know that the kit has now been assembled. In this video I'll start incrementally testing the modules, starting with the backplane, the dual clock module, then the RAM, ROM, CPU and Serial I/O modules, and will be attempting to boot into Microsoft BASIC, one of the images supplied in the kit on ROM.

I'll leave testing the Compact Flash board for a future video, as that is an optional module required for CP/M.
