A breeding to preserve the musk deer | SLICE

Описание к видео A breeding to preserve the musk deer | SLICE

The musk deer, with its kangaroo head and long teeth, is an endangered species. It is subject to heavy poaching because of its ability to secrete musk, a substance used in traditional Chinese medicine and in perfumery.
To satisfy the annual needs of musk in China and to preserve this endangered animal, farms were created in the 1960s.
