Pernicious Anemia: a Rare Cause of Radiating Upper and Lower Extremity Pain

Описание к видео Pernicious Anemia: a Rare Cause of Radiating Upper and Lower Extremity Pain

In this video will discuss pernicious anemia and its sequelae: vitamin B12 deficiency and megaloblastic anemia. This is a rare cause of upper and lower extremity radicular pain, so primary health care providers should be aware of it. We will get into the weeds on this one, and talk about the three types of autoantibodies, laboratory findings, and gastric juice findings. Although an autoimmune attack is usual, there are other causes of pernicious anemia which we will get into.

This lecture specifically for GI-GU: (Wk5)(Thurs)(Win2021), Part 1 of 2.
