this is an improvised jam in max/msp. part of my current live set. it's probably the worst dance party on earth.

+++ general patch info in case anyone is interested +++

the main timing is sequenced via multislider.

the drums are a mix of samples & synthesis with a hard-coded pattern and variable pitch/envelop lengths per hit.

the 10 multisliders in the bottom left control various parameters of this weird synth I made. there are 2 instances of that synth.

the other synth in the bottom right is a gen~ patch with oscillators feeding back into themselves. notes/patterns are controlled by multisliders.

that synth is probably too loud in the mix in this video and the drums are too quiet but oh well that's what happens when I record things on a whim!

this is one patch of my live setup which consists of 3 patches currently but I am slowly adding more. the idea is that each little subpatch is a "track" that I can improvise with. and as I build up more of these patches I will be able to draw from the repertoire of available tracks for any given performance.
