Sino Centre retro shopping mall for anime and manga fans | Mong Kok

Описание к видео Sino Centre retro shopping mall for anime and manga fans | Mong Kok

Sino Centre is a retro this old-fashioned mall in Mong Kok characterised by rabbit warren like shopping arcades featuring small hole in the wall shops crammed tightly together, narrow corridors and low ceilings. This style of shopping of mall is quite characteristic of the 90s era and also of this area. The shops sell various anime and manga products, collectible toys, vintage comics, stickers and collectable cards etc. Collectable items are typically kept in plastic display cabinets which you would then need to request the shop keeper to open to see.

There are a few items/shops which are borderline adult themed (either raunchy or violence) so just keep an eye out if you are taking kids, although there are plenty of parents taking their kids to walk around in there.

There are three shopping arcade floors above ground level, and one below ground level. In the video I spend around 5 minutes walking through each floor. The ground floor has several shops selling watches, which for this current era is quite retro.

If you get there before 1 pm most of the shops are still closed, but you can still wander around whilst it is nice and quiet. Later in the evening during the weekends it can get quite crowded.
