The world’s fastest and most sumptuous people-mover, the Zeekr 009, has set sail overseas and Australia will be one of its first export markets. And the big Chinese electric wagon is targeting the new Lexus LM.

Pricing for the jaw-dropping Zeekr 009 is expected to start from around $150,000 and will likely eclipse $200,000 in top-spec form, which will pack a massive 140kWh battery, more high-definition OLED TV screens than JB Hi-Fi and a mind-melting 30-speaker, 3000W (3kW!) premium Yamaha audio system.

The back seats feature the sort of massage functionality that would make a Rolls-Royce owner coo with delight and the bar fridge is the world’s only intelligent constant-temperature fridge offered in the auto industry, and it also features a UV sterilisation function.

Zeekr says the 009 will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds without batting an eyelid, and some versions sold overseas are capable of doing it in just 3.9sec, although it’s not clear if the buck-wild super-fast model will come to Australia.
