Foundation models... the options and how MC1 handles them

Описание к видео Foundation models... the options and how MC1 handles them

When it comes to modelling foundations, we have options…
Here are three different ways we can do it.

We can keep it simple with number 1 – Centrelines at FFL

This is the most common type used across the country because it’s quick to draw up and the closest workflow to traditional setting out (you have one line to follow regardless of your bucket width and just offset down to the required depth)

Number 2 – A trench width surface at dig level

This time we have a surface to give us our Z reference, and usually some extra line work to give us horizontal guidance (we can pick the centre line or the outer line & move the tool point across to suit)

Number 3 – A full 3D representation of the foundation

A bit more work involved producing these types of models but it is really nice to see the extra detail in the cross/long section views, especially when we hit the external corners.

No right or wrong way – just different methods for different situations
