The lost tapes of IFA Wartburg

In the spring of 2022 I was on an emotional roller-coaster. A friend of mine repeatedly claimed that several IFA Wartburg recordings were in circulation out there somewhere. I called the governor of the State of São Paulo to hear what he had to say about this. But he did not answer.

Later in the evening as I sat in my comfortable armchair reading the Bolschewistische Tagesblatt, I realized that many pop bands in the West also share the nameless horror and mental torture that comes with the abrupt loss of a musical recording. A British orchestra called Erasure lost a lot of recordings because their studio technician took the band name literally.

From that moment on I realized that we would have to find out the truth about this intricate subject all by ourselves. We chose to rent a tracking dog (it is a Golden Hit Retriever). This dog can smell the scent of a lost multitrack tape just in minutes.
