Sub-titling a highly stylised artform such as Kathakali has helped us reach the uninitiated and enhanced their understanding and appreciation of the art, as the feedback we have received testify.

Here’s the opening scene of Karnasapadham staged in Singapore on February 3, 2018, where Duryodhana consoles his worried wife Bhanumathi on the eve of the great Mahabharata War.
