The vision of Texas Lyme Alliance/TXLA is to support improved access to care. We are a non-partisan group working for all to have equal rights to healthcare, until they're well. Protecting preexisting conditions for patients like my family is essential to obtaining healthcare. After stomach surgery at 19 years old, I was told I had to pay $427.00 A MONTH AND IT DIDN'T COVER MY STOMACH. That should resonate to every parent as completely unacceptable. After insurance companies were forced to accept preexisting illness, I no longer have stomach issues to that degree needing expensive healthcare for me or my insurance company. I made this video because I NEVER want to go back to losing preexisting coverage. If you don't have a preexisting illness, you likely and eventually will as you age. Consider this when you vote, healthcare is the most important thing to cherish when you vote and give legislators power over THAT. Protect your health with your vote, and mine. If there is a better plan to benefit patients, I'd love to see it.


We've achieved getting Lyme Disease formally accepted by the Democratic Party as a party platform. We need someone to advocate for the same on the Republican Party platform. Everyone benefits by creating an environment that allows people to live with dignity and care. Recovering our health is essential to getting back to work, parenting effectively, and off disability.

Exercise your right to quality care by voting. Holding legislators accountable to support everyone's right to health through covered care. Historically, once Medicare/Medicaid pick up covering care, private insurers do too. Everyone deserves appropriate treatment for vector borne diseases, and to fully recover from PANS/PANDAS, Lyme Complex, PTSD, and chronic illness.

Vote for those who support increased access to care. Align yourself with legislators, friends and peers who understand why opening access to covered care is important for everyone.
