BMW i3S SERVICING - Engine Oil Change / BMW i3 REX - 4K HD

HOW TO: Service your BMW i3 - ENGINE OIL CHANGE
Ensure you only use Genuine BMW Oil: ( Important Read more below )

** IF YOU ARE NOT MECHANICALLY MINDED - THEN DON'T DO THIS JOB **
This is only how to change the engine oil !
under NO circumstances touch any wires within the engine bay - its a EV electric car
The circuits are live - so DON'T touch anything in the engine bay.
You change the oil at your own risk
Keep safe at all times - NO metal objects or hands on any of the wires within the engine bay !

ITEMS NEEDED:
ONLY REQUIRED if you have a REX engine fitted
A pure electric car DOES NOT HAVE this BMW Engine Extender' !

Use Original BMW Engine Oil: SAE 0W-30 BMW Longlife-04

Purchase:
x3 1 liter BMW containers of oil: SAE 0W-30 BMW Longlife-04
x1 NEW BMW Oil Drain Plug
x1 NEW BMW Oil Drain Washer

Do not use OLD existing Oil Drain Plug washer ! - always fit a NEW one

Torque setting for Oil Drain Plug: 28Nm

Time to do this around 15 to 20 Mins

Basically - use a clean container - with markings on - what comes out goes back in & allow for
The BMW Oil Filter soaking up the new oil when engine is running - DON'T OVER FILL.

Note WARNING:
This BMW is a High Voltage Vehicle - serious risk of harm or death can occur if you touch ANY electrical component's in the engine bay of any i3.
If you have any doubts contact your local car garage or a BMW dealer.
All the cables are sealed and are color coded in Orange to show whats what - Just don't go touching or pulling things you are not sure of.
Changing the engine oil is very simple to do as this video shows -
Also
ensure the aluminum engine cover is secured back in place and all screws are secured tightly. The Engine Cover must be secured back in place for protection.

IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR HAVE ANY DOUBTS - then leave it for a car garage to do.
