Ep. 34: “Sanzuru Senka, Haiiro no Kagayaki”

🌑 Rikuo vs. Rei — Brothers in Conflict
Determined to end things, Rikuo goes to face Rei alone. Rei, now consumed by jealousy and hatred, is using the Calamity Ring to absorb human souls. When Rikuo confronts him, the rest of the team arrives to back him up, turning this into a full-scale war. Rei summons armies of past Sentai foot soldiers and even revives Assam, transforming him into Shishi Red using the Kyuranger Ring!

Hoeru, Sumino, and Kinjiro unleash their own transformations — RyoTegaSword GozyuWolf, GingaRed, and Red1 — pushing back the endless horde while Rikuo clashes directly with Rei, who now wields MagiRed’s power. Their duel is as emotional as it is brutal. Rei admits he wanted things to go back to how they were before, but his heart “can never return.”

⚡ Bellum’s Possession & Rikuo’s Resolve
After Rikuo defeats Rei in battle, Rei collapses in tears — but before they can reconcile, Bellum possesses Rei’s body! Sumino and Rikuo team up, splitting the Sentai Rings from Rei’s control — Rikuo obtaining MagiRed and ZyuohEagle, and Sumino gaining Kyuranger and Zenkaiger. With Bellum now unstable, Hoeru lends Rikuo the RyoTegaSword, allowing him to ascend into TegaSword GozyuLeon!

🦁 TegaSword GozyuLeon’s Blazing Debut
TegaSword GozyuLeon’s arrival is pure hype — his armor radiates with fiery red and golden light as he channels the Sun Vulcan and MagiRed Rings for a triple finisher: Hiba Return, Red Fire, and Overload All Hands! The impact is explosive — Bellum is obliterated, marking the end of the Number 1 Battle.

🤖 RyoTegaSword Robo & The Final Strike
But Bellum isn’t done yet — he reemerges as a colossal monster. Hoeru activates RyoTegaSword (Robo) for the first time, combining his and TegaSword’s power to deliver the devastating TegaSword Infinity Divide, vaporizing Bellum for good.

💫 Peace Restored & Bonds Repaired
In the aftermath, Sumino finds her sister Oto alive in Rei’s lab, and Mrs. Sweet Cake is miraculously revived, reuniting with Mr. Shining Knife. Assam bids farewell, humorously abducted by a UFO mid-conversation. Finally, Rikuo visits Rei in custody — Rei apologizes through tears, thanking Rikuo for never giving up on him. Their friendship, though scarred, begins to heal.

Episode 34 perfectly blends emotional closure with jaw-dropping power-ups — and TegaSword GozyuLeon might just be the strongest form in Gozyuger yet.

No.1 Sentai Gozyuger (ナンバーワン戦隊ゴジュウジャー Nanbā Wan Sentai Gojūjā) is a Japanese Tokusatsu drama. It is the 49th installment in Toei Company's Super Sentai Series and commemorates its 50th anniversary. The series premiered February 16, 2025, joining Kamen Rider Gavv in the Super Hero Time line-up after the finale of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger. After the end of Gavv, Gozyuger will be joined by Kamen Rider Zeztz.

The "Universe War" was a large-scale conflict involving the various giants of the different universes against a threat simply known as "The Calamity". At the brink of defeat, TegaSword appeared and the giants offered their powers, creating the "Sentai Rings", who destroyed the Calamity but also provoked the destruction and recreation of the universe with the rings scattered across the cosmos. Sometime later, five outcasts from society are given the chance to change their lives when TegaSword chooses them to transform into the Gozyugers, who are tasked with gathering the Sentai Rings and the one who assembles all of them will get their wish granted, which starts a competition not only between the group, but against the No One World Bridan, as well other people that have been chosen to also get their wish granted dubbed the "Universe Warriors".
