After taking some time to reflect, I wanted to come back and speak honestly.
Independent Voice has always been a space for thoughtful conversations — particularly on issues related to Ethiopia, Africa, and the global narratives that shape how we see the world. But recently, I had to pause and ask myself an important question:
Where do I stand? This video is not about changing direction.
It is about alignment — with truth, integrity, and responsibility.

As someone who is both Ethiopian by birth and American by citizenship, I believe it is important to approach these conversations with balance, honesty, and clarity. That includes being willing to reflect on our own position — not just the position of others.
Moving forward, Independent Voice will continue to engage with issues related to Ethiopia, Africa, and global affairs — while also addressing the realities of the world we live in today.

I am also expanding Independent Voice into a podcast, where these conversations will continue in a more reflective and conversational format.
