Bach - Cantata Der Friede sei mit dir BWV 158 - Rademann | Netherlands Bach Society

Описание к видео Bach - Cantata Der Friede sei mit dir BWV 158 - Rademann | Netherlands Bach Society

It is unclear for which occasion 'Der Friede sei mit dir', performed by the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach, was written, the third day of Easter or the Purification. It is also possible that it concerns parts from various cantatas, put together at a later date by Bach or somebody else, for an unknown occasion. Four singers are needed for the final chorale, but only a bass and a soprano for the rest of the score. The cantata is extremely short and has an austere setting.

Recorded for the project All of Bach on January 23rd 2016 at the Grote Kerk, Harlingen. If you want to help us complete All of Bach, please subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/2vhCeFB and consider donating http://bit.ly/2uZuMj5.
