MGXINDIA | Mahiravani Farmhouse by Environ Planners

This architect’s farmhouse turned first home is designed on a piece of land bought a few years ago. From the establishing shot, this nature-infused home tour showcases Ar. Sanjay Patil’s humble abode. The timber columns and brackets, as seen in the video, were modestly gathered as architectural fees from one of his projects in Mumbai, and refurbished to reuse.

True to their firm’s vision, ‘to create an environment that expresses the ability to integrate landscape with the building, which amalgamates interior and exterior to create a series of interactive spaces’, the home stands proudly nestled in the natural landscape. The videographer's concept of capturing the owner's morning and evening ritual of lighting a lamp near the mandir turned out beautifully. All in all, he has accurately captured the essence of the architect's vision.
