Internationally renowned artist Michelle Handelman is making her entire career archive available for purchase.
Handelman is an internationally recognized American visual artist, filmmaker, performer, writer and professor. Since the early 1980s, her work has increasingly received world-wide atiention and critical praise, with her films and art installations being presented in major art museums and galleries throughout North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and the United Kingdom.
Her work has shown at Georges Pompidou Centre, Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; American Film Institute, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA), Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, MIT's List Visual Arts Center, and on PBS.
Handelman is connected to the NYC Cinema of Transgression, Nick Zedd, Tessa Hughes-Freeland, Richard Kern, Kembra Pfahler; No Wave luminaries Beth B and Lydia Lunch; Industrial Culture pioneers Monte Cazazza, Genesis Breyer P.
