Saddest Scene in Final Fantasy 7 *SPOILERS*...FF7 - This is one of the most powerful and memorable scenes in Final Fantasy history. In video games, really. Released in 1997, FFVII dared to do what no game before it had done. It created a strong and meaningful relationship between its main characters, before ending one permanently. For many teens growing up in the nineties, gaming was new and we were all bad at it lol. Many of us stayed with these characters for weeks or more before getting to this point, which was a far greater time investment than any movie. And when it hit, it hit hard. To this day it still tears me up (and I definitely cried when I saw this at 11 years old kek). While it's impossible for me to do justice to this scene with my voice acting, I hope it at least helps tell the story. I hope my commentary isn't too off the mark either.

In this Final Fantasy 7 scene Cloud finds Aeris / Aerith praying to summon Holy materia, when Sephiroth falls from the sky ending her instantly. Nobuo Uematsu’s music, the dialogue, pacing and execution of this scene is pitch perfect. I hope they do Aeris death scene justice in the Remake and Rebirth. Just kidding - we all know Zack is going to interfere at the last second, then high five Cloud to “You’re the Best” by Tina Turner.
