HRP Super Comfort Seat Swap on 2020 Honda Rebel 500

Aloha everyone!

I was finally able to get a new seat for my 2020 Honda Rebel 500. I wanted one that would be able to save my rear fender and something more comfortable than the stock seat. I want to get a sissy bar in the future for long trips to tie up my backpack on, and I don’t want to scratch up the beautiful matte blue paint job on the rear fender.

I’ve taken the seat out on rides longer than 2 hours and compared to the stock seat, this is MUCH BETTER! I noticed it does add a slight increase to height to be able to flatfoot the bike. I’m 5’1” and am still able to flatfoot comfortably.

I tried to use the available tools my bike provided, which was about half of the necessary. The Allen Key that comes with the bike can be used to remove the stock seat. You WILL NEED A 6MM Allen Key to loosen and reattach the bolt on the rear fender for the new seat bracket! Be sure not to strip it either!
