In this video we will see how to make a diy homemade incubator for hatching duck eggs. Duck eggs take about 30-35 days to hatch compared to chicken eggs which take 28 days. The duck variety we got was Muscovy ducks (they take the longest time to hatch 35 days). Watching the ducks come out of the shell was an amazing experience. After 4 weeks, they can survive outdoors in the lake but right now they are getting some swimming experience at home.
This egg incubator does not have a thermostat so we rely on changing the bulb wattage and constant ambient temperature to maintain the required heat and humidity. While, it is not an efficient system, it is definitely fun project.
