Motorcycling through every state in Mexico continues, but kinda in a different way. I left Sayulita and made my way to Puerto Vallarta. After sight seeing and doing some tourist stuff, I got down to business and started doing some service work on my bike. I flushed the coolant, changed the oil, oil filter, cleaned the air filter, and a gave it a deep clean. The last thing I decided to do was change a countershaft seal that was leaking. After taking the chain and sprocket off I noticed something wrong. The teeth on my countershaft were extremely worn down. After sending pictures to friends I came to the conclusion that the motor would need to be pulled. The bike was still in operable condition, but the sprocket was loose and wasn't ideal to run, and would eventually fail. I decided to head back to Guadalajara to get the bike worked on by MOTO 3 a KTM, Husky, Gas Gas dealership up there. Let's hope it doesn't come out too expensive.
